A Dentist Serving Milford, CT
Radiant Smiles Family & Aesthetic Dentistry is at 2240 Madison Avenue in Bridgeport's North End, about eleven miles west of Milford. From Devon and Woodmont that is a fifteen-minute drive. From the Milford Green it is twenty-five minutes, and Milford has a great many dentists closer to you than we are.
That is an odd sentence to find on a page like this. It is also the truth, and you are going to get the truth on the rest of the page too.
We are not your nearest dentist, and we are not going to pretend to be
Most pages of this kind exist to catch a search and say nothing. You know the shape of them: "Looking for a dentist in Milford? Radiant Smiles proudly serves the Milford community!" — the same paragraph as the Stratford page with the town name swapped, written by someone who has never driven the road.
Here is the actual road. Eleven miles. Twenty-five minutes from the Green, in traffic that is frequently worse than that. Milford is a town of sixty thousand people with a full complement of good dental practices, several of them minutes from your house.
If all you need is a cleaning and a checkup, book one of them. We mean that. A twice-yearly fifty-minute round trip for routine hygiene is a bad use of your life, and a practice that encouraged it would be putting its interests ahead of yours on the very first page you read.
So who does make this drive?
Four kinds of people, and if you are not one of them, we have just saved you an hour.
People in Devon and Woodmont. The western edge of Milford is a different proposition entirely — you are across the Housatonic from Stratford, and Madison Avenue is fifteen to eighteen minutes away on Route 1 or I-95. That is an ordinary drive to an ordinary appointment.
People who already come to Bridgeport. If you work here, or in Fairfield, an 8:00 a.m. appointment sits inside a commute you were making anyway. The drive costs you nothing because you were already in the car.
People coming for something specific. Implants, veneers, clear aligners — treatment where the choice of dentist matters more than the length of the drive, and where you want to compare a published price against a quote you have been given. Ours are on the pages. Compare them.
People whose fear has kept them away for years. If you have been avoiding this for a decade, the right dentist is worth twenty-five minutes and the nearest one has already failed you. Nitrous oxide sedation, and a first visit that can be nothing but a conversation.
If you are still reading, here is what you would be coming for
NEEDS SIGN-OFF K-13, K-14 Claims about the practice — Parking at the building; Hours: Mon/Tue/Thu 8–5:30, Fri 8–1; closed Wed/Sat/Sun. Approve as written, or give the correction.
A dentist who explains before she works, and who will tell you when the cheaper option is the right one. Published cost ranges rather than "prices vary, call us." Digital scanning instead of a tray of impression material. One dentist, every visit, who remembers you. Parking at the door.
And a practice that just spent four paragraphs talking a large share of its own readers out of coming. Make of that what you will.
We are closed Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday to 5:30 p.m., Friday to 1:00 p.m. On a twenty-five-minute drive, that is worth checking twice.

Radiant Smiles is in Bridgeport, not Milford — at 2240 Madison Avenue, about eleven miles west. From the Milford Green that is a twenty-five minute drive, and there are many dentists closer to you.

Getting here from Milford
From Devon and Woodmont (about 15–18 minutes, roughly 8 miles). Cross the Housatonic into Stratford and head west on Route 1 — Barnum Avenue, which becomes Boston Avenue in Bridgeport — then north through the North End to Madison Avenue. I-95 south is quicker outside rush hour and slower during it.
From the Milford Green and the east side (about 25 minutes, roughly 11 miles). I-95 south to Bridgeport, then north into the North End and west to Madison Avenue. Route 1 the whole way is slower but more predictable.
Rush hour on I-95 through Stratford and Bridgeport is genuinely bad. If your appointment is at 8:00 a.m., leave earlier than the map tells you to. If it is at 4:30 p.m., expect the drive home to take longer than the drive in.
We are at 2240 Madison Avenue, with parking at the building.
