A Dentist Serving Monroe, CT

Radiant Smiles Family & Aesthetic Dentistry is at 2240 Madison Avenue in Bridgeport's North End, about twelve miles and twenty-five minutes south of Monroe, straight down Route 25. Dr. Jasmeet Kaur, D.D.S. is accepting new patients.

Before anything else: Monroe is well served. There are several long-established practices in town with hundreds of reviews between them, and they are considerably closer to you than we are.

So we should start by talking you out of it

If what you need is a cleaning, an exam and the ordinary business of keeping your teeth, book in Monroe. Twenty-five minutes each way, twice a year, for routine hygiene is a poor use of your life, and a practice that encouraged it would be putting itself ahead of you on the first page you read.

That is not modesty. It is the same advice we would give a member of our own family.

When the drive does make sense

When you already come down Route 25. This is the big one. Route 25 runs from Monroe through Trumbull and into Bridgeport, and a very large number of Monroe residents drive it every working day — to Bridgeport, to the Merritt, to I-95, to the train. If that is you, an 8:00 a.m. appointment is not a twenty-five minute drive. It is a stop on a journey you were making anyway, and it costs you nothing.

When you are choosing a dentist rather than a postcode. Implants, placed and restored in one office. Veneers. Clear aligners. These are four-figure decisions with long consequences, and the difference between a dentist who explains the options and one who presents a plan is worth twenty-five minutes.

When you want to compare the price before you commit. We publish real ranges on every page. Take ours, take the quote you have been given, and put them side by side. If ours is not better, do not come. That is a perfectly acceptable outcome of reading this page.

When fear is the reason you have not been in years. Nitrous oxide sedation, and a first visit that can be a conversation with no instruments at all. If a decade of avoidance is the problem, the nearest dentist has already failed you, and twenty-five minutes is not the obstacle.

Route 25 south from Monroe is a straightforward, dull, uncomplicated run — through Trumbull, past the Merritt interchange, and down into Bridgeport's North End. Route 111, Main Street, runs roughly parallel and is the slower alternative when Route 25 is backed up.

There is parking at the building, which after twenty-five minutes in a car is not a trivial detail.

We are closed Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday to 5:30 p.m., and Friday to 1:00 p.m. On a drive this long, check twice.

Directions

Getting here from Monroe

From Monroe (about 25 minutes, roughly 12 miles). Take Route 25 south through Trumbull. Stay on it as it becomes the freeway section and runs together with Route 8, then come off into Bridgeport's North End and head west to Madison Avenue. We are at 2240, with parking at the building.

The slower alternative. Route 111 — Main Street — runs roughly parallel to Route 25 through Trumbull and into Bridgeport. It has traffic lights and takes longer on a clear day, but it is the road to take when Route 25 is backed up at the Trumbull split.

From the Merritt Parkway. Route 25 meets the Merritt in Trumbull — long signed as Exit 49, and the interchange that also serves Beardsley Zoo. Come off there, or continue east one exit to Route 111 by the Trumbull mall, and drop south.

Allow extra time between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m. Route 25 southbound into Bridgeport is a commuter road, and at rush hour it behaves like one.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the drive from Monroe?
About twenty-five minutes, roughly twelve miles, straight down Route 25 through Trumbull. It is a dull, uncomplicated run, and it is the road most of Monroe already uses to get to Bridgeport, the Merritt, or I-95.
Monroe has good dentists. Why would I drive to Bridgeport?
Honestly, for most people, you would not — Monroe is well served, with several long-established practices, and a twenty-five minute drive for a cleaning makes no sense. Where it does make sense is if you already commute down Route 25, or if you want a specific piece of treatment and would rather choose the dentist than the postcode. We publish our prices so you can compare before you get in the car.
Is there parking at the office?
Yes — there is parking at 2240 Madison Avenue, so you are not circling the block or feeding a meter. This is one of the quiet advantages of a North End practice over a downtown one, and it matters more than people expect when they are bringing two children and a stroller.
Do you take my insurance?
NEEDS SIGN-OFF C-30, K-10, K-11 Costs stated here — membership plan — annual price + inclusions NO FIGURE — WE DO NOT KNOW THIS. Claims about the practice — Out-of-network with most plans; we help with claims; Cherry and Sunbit financing offered. Approve as written, or give the correction. Radiant Smiles is currently an out-of-network provider with most dental plans. That does not mean your plan is useless here — many plans include out-of-network benefits that still cover a share of your care, and we will help you work out what yours covers before you commit to anything. We also offer an in-office membership plan for patients without dental insurance, and financing through Cherry and Sunbit. If cost is the reason you have been putting off a visit, tell us on the phone. It is a conversation we have every week.
