A Dentist Serving Stratford, CT
Radiant Smiles Family & Aesthetic Dentistry serves Stratford, CT from 2240 Madison Avenue in Bridgeport's North End — about six miles and fifteen minutes west of Stratford centre. Dr. Jasmeet Kaur, D.D.S. is accepting new patients.
Fifteen minutes is a real drive, not a rounding error, and this page is going to be straight with you about when it is worth making.
When it is worth the drive, and when it is not
For a routine cleaning, proximity wins. Stratford has good practices and we are not going to pretend that a fifteen-minute drive twice a year for a hygiene appointment is a compelling proposition. If that is all you need, book near home.
For the things you do not want to shop around on, it is a different calculation. Implants. Veneers. Clear aligners. A root canal on a tooth you would rather keep. These are decisions with four-figure numbers and long consequences attached, and the difference between a dentist who explains the options and one who presents a plan is worth twenty minutes of Route 1.
And if it is fear that has kept you away, the drive is beside the point. Nitrous oxide sedation is available, and a first visit can be a conversation with no instruments at all.
The commuter's appointment
NEEDS SIGN-OFF K-14 Claims about the practice — Hours: Mon/Tue/Thu 8–5:30, Fri 8–1; closed Wed/Sat/Sun. Approve as written, or give the correction.
Stratford runs on the Route 1 corridor and on I-95, and both are miserable between half past seven and nine.
Which is exactly why the 8:00 a.m. slots are the ones Stratford patients take. Come west before the traffic turns, park at the building, and be at your desk by nine. Leave it until 5 p.m. and the same six miles takes twenty-five minutes.
The office is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We are closed Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday — worth knowing before you plan the drive.
Broken a tooth in Stratford?
Call (203) 372-0881 and describe it. We hold time each open day for urgent problems, and fifteen minutes is a perfectly reasonable drive when the alternative is waiting a week.
Read what to do in the meantime — for a knocked-out tooth in particular, the first thirty minutes decide most of it, and what you do before you get in the car matters more than how fast you drive.
What it costs, published
NEEDS SIGN-OFF C-30, K-10, K-11, K-13 Costs stated here — membership plan — annual price + inclusions NO FIGURE — WE DO NOT KNOW THIS. Claims about the practice — Out-of-network with most plans; we help with claims; Cherry and Sunbit financing offered; Parking at the building. Approve as written, or give the correction.
We put our cost ranges on the website. Almost nobody does, which is why almost nobody can compare.
Radiant Smiles is currently an out-of-network provider with most dental plans, and we say so plainly rather than letting you discover it at the desk. Many plans still pay a share. There is an in-office membership plan for patients without insurance, and financing through Cherry and Sunbit. The whole picture.

Radiant Smiles is in Bridgeport, not Stratford — at 2240 Madison Avenue, about six miles and fifteen minutes west.

Getting here from Stratford
From Stratford centre (about 15 minutes, roughly 6 miles). Head west on Route 1 — Barnum Avenue, which becomes Boston Avenue as you cross into Bridgeport. Continue west, then north through the North End to Madison Avenue. We are at 2240, with parking at the building.
From the Merritt Parkway. Pick up the Merritt westbound at the Housatonic — the parkway ends at the river in Stratford, so you are joining it at its very beginning. Come off at Park Avenue (long signed as Exit 47, renumbered to Exit 29), then head south on Park Avenue and east onto Madison Avenue.
From the Lordship and Sikorsky end. I-95 south is usually faster than Route 1 outside rush hour, but it is slower during it. On a weekday morning, take Route 1.
Allow an extra ten minutes between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m. This is a Route 1 problem, not a distance problem.
