A Dentist Serving Redding, CT

Radiant Smiles Family & Aesthetic Dentistry is at 2240 Madison Avenue in Bridgeport's North End — about fifteen miles and thirty to thirty-five minutes south of Redding, down Route 58.

That is the longest drive of any town on this website, and it is the first thing you should know rather than the last.

We are almost certainly not the dentist you should use

Let us be completely straightforward, because a page that pretends otherwise is worthless to you and, frankly, worthless to us.

Redding has good dental practices of its own — well-rated, long-established, minutes from your house. Danbury, Bethel and Ridgefield are all closer to you than we are, and between them they have more dentists than you could see in a lifetime.

If you need a cleaning, a checkup, a filling, or any of the ordinary business of keeping your teeth: book locally. A seventy-minute round trip twice a year for routine hygiene is not a sensible use of your time, and we are not going to encourage it. That advice costs us a patient and it is still the right advice.

Most pages of this kind exist to catch the search term "dentist Redding CT" and say nothing true. This one is going to say something true and lose most of its readers.

The narrow case for coming anyway

NEEDS SIGN-OFF C-11, C-20, C-22 Costs stated here — single implant, post+abutment+crown $4,000–$6,500; porcelain veneer, per tooth $1,400–$2,500; invisalign, limited case from around $3,000. Approve as written, or give the correction.

Having said all that — there are two situations where the drive is rational, and we would be doing you a different disservice by not naming them.

You are coming for a specific, significant piece of treatment. Implants. Porcelain veneers. A full cosmetic plan. These run into thousands of dollars and their consequences last decades — an implant should outlive the car you drove here in, and veneers are irreversible.

At that level, the choice of dentist genuinely matters more than thirty minutes. People routinely cross a county for a surgeon. Nobody thinks it is strange.

And you can test whether we are worth it without leaving your kitchen. We publish our prices. Implants at $4,000 to $6,500 for a finished tooth, post and crown together. Veneers at $1,400 to $2,500 each. Invisalign from around $3,000 for a limited case. Almost nobody in Fairfield County prints those numbers. Take whatever you have been quoted and compare it. If we are not clearly better, do not get in the car — and we will have been useful to you anyway.

You already drive south on Route 58. A number of Redding residents commute down the Black Rock Turnpike through Easton to Fairfield and Bridgeport. If that is your morning anyway, an 8:00 a.m. appointment is a stop, not a journey.

The road, since you asked

Route 58 — the Black Rock Turnpike — runs from Redding south through Easton into Fairfield and on toward Bridgeport. It is the road Redding uses to go south, and it has been for a very long time.

It is also fifteen miles of it, and we would rather you knew that from us than from a satnav that has already started the engine.

And if you do come

NEEDS SIGN-OFF K-13, K-14 Claims about the practice — Parking at the building; Hours: Mon/Tue/Thu 8–5:30, Fri 8–1; closed Wed/Sat/Sun. Approve as written, or give the correction.

There is parking at the building. We are closed Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday — open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday to 5:30 p.m., and Friday to 1:00 p.m. On a thirty-five minute drive, check that twice.

Call (203) 372-0881. Tell us where you are calling from. If the honest answer is that you should stay in Redding, that is what you will hear.

<!-- ══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ ⏱ REVIEW TRIPWIRE — REDDING — decide by January 2027

This page was shipped knowingly, with a weak rationale. 33 minutes. Redding has two 5.0-rated practices of its own, and Danbury, Bethel and Ridgefield are all closer to a Redding resident than we are.

It is honest and specific enough to survive scrutiny on its own. The risk is not this page — it is the PATTERN: nine town pages, four of them 25+ minutes out, is the shape Google's helpful-content systems assess as a SET rather than page by page.

THE DECISION, January 2027: · Did this page produce a single booking, call, or form submission? · Did it earn any impressions worth having in Search Console?

If NO to both — change one line: seo.noIndex: true That removes it from the index, keeps the page live for anyone who has the link, and takes the pattern risk off the whole locations folder.

Do not agonise. It is one line, and one fewer town page beats one doorway page. (Content Brief §11.4.) ══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ -->

Directions

Getting here from Redding

From Redding (about 30–35 minutes, roughly 15 miles). Head south on Route 58 — the Black Rock Turnpike — through Easton and into Fairfield.

From there you have two choices. Continue south on Route 58 and head east through Fairfield to Park Avenue, then east again onto Madison Avenue. Or join the Merritt Parkway eastbound at the Route 58 interchange — long signed as Exit 44, renumbered to Exit 27 — and come off at Park Avenue (Exit 47, now Exit 29), then drop south.

We are at 2240 Madison Avenue, with parking at the building.

Worth knowing: both the Merritt and Route 8 were renumbered to mile-based exit numbers. Old numbers are still posted on smaller signs underneath, and will be for a while yet. Read the road name, not the number.

And worth knowing more: this is a thirty-five minute drive on a good day. In snow, or at rush hour, it is longer. If your appointment is at 8:00 a.m., leave earlier than the map tells you to.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the drive from Redding?
About thirty to thirty-five minutes, roughly fifteen miles — down Route 58, the Black Rock Turnpike, which runs from Redding through Easton to Fairfield, then east to Madison Avenue. It is the road Redding uses to go south, and it is a long way.
Should someone in Redding drive to Bridgeport for a dentist?
In most cases, no, and we would rather be useful than optimistic about it. Redding has good dental practices of its own, and Danbury, Bethel and Ridgefield are all closer to you than we are. The honest exceptions are people who commute south down Route 58, and people coming specifically for implant or cosmetic work who have compared the published prices and decided the drive is worth it.
Is there parking at the office?
Yes — there is parking at 2240 Madison Avenue, so you are not circling the block or feeding a meter. This is one of the quiet advantages of a North End practice over a downtown one, and it matters more than people expect when they are bringing two children and a stroller.
Do you take my insurance?
NEEDS SIGN-OFF C-30, K-10, K-11 Costs stated here — membership plan — annual price + inclusions NO FIGURE — WE DO NOT KNOW THIS. Claims about the practice — Out-of-network with most plans; we help with claims; Cherry and Sunbit financing offered. Approve as written, or give the correction. Radiant Smiles is currently an out-of-network provider with most dental plans. That does not mean your plan is useless here — many plans include out-of-network benefits that still cover a share of your care, and we will help you work out what yours covers before you commit to anything. We also offer an in-office membership plan for patients without dental insurance, and financing through Cherry and Sunbit. If cost is the reason you have been putting off a visit, tell us on the phone. It is a conversation we have every week.
